KODO Ancient Ways

Lessons from an Aikido Master.

You may have noticed by now that I love to read.

For me reading is not only a means of staying informed about events, places, and people that interest me. Reading is also great way for me to relax my mind, whenever the need arises. Over the years I have read a lot of books on a wide range of subjects. For the most part they have been the kind of books that made me glad that I took the time to read them. Recently I came across just such a book, one that I consider to be a "must read" for any student of the martial arts, regardless of your style, or affiliation.

The book was a gift from one of my students and it is entitled "KODO Ancient Ways" - "Lessons in the Spiritual Life of the Warrior Martial Artist". It was written by the late, Reverend Kensho Furuya Sensei, Resident Chief Instructor of the Aikido Center of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Sword and Swordsmanship Society Kenshinkai. At his passing Furuya Sensei held the rank of 6th Dan from the World Aikido Headquarters, and the rank of 6th Dan, Kyoshi, in Iaido, the way of the sword.

His book is published by Ohara Publications Incorporated of Santa Clara, California, and I strongly urge you to consider buying a copy, and start your own journey of self discovery. You can also learn more about Reverend Kensho Furuya Sensei's at .

Remember: “Never judge a book by it's cover, it is the content that matters most”.
