KODO Ancient Ways.

Lessons from an Aikido Master.

I love to read. For me reading is a great way for me to relax my mind whenever the need arises. Over the years I have read a lot of books on a wide range of subjects. For the most part they have made me glad that I took the time to read them. Recently I came across just such a book, one that I consider to be a must read for any student of the martial arts, regardless of style, or affiliation.

The book was a gift from one of my students and it is entitled, KODO Ancient Ways - Lessons in the Spiritual Life of the Warrior Martial Artist. It was written by the late Reverend Kensho Furuya Sensei, Resident Chief Instructor of the Aikido Center of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Sword and Swordsmanship Society Kenshinkai. At his passing Furuya Sensei held the rank of 6th Dan from the World Aikido Headquarters, and the rank of 6th Dan, Kyoshi, in Iaido, the way of the sword.

This book is published by, Ohara Publications Incorporated, of Santa Clara, California. I strongly urge you to consider buying a copy. You can learn more about Reverend Kensho Furuya at .

Remember: “Never judge a book by it's cover, it is the content that matters most.”
